about

Welcome to "Take Two" by Dino Skatepark. This EP is a re-recorded, re-mastered version of our old EP with additional songs that we feel best suit our style. This EP tackles topics of insomnia, paranoia, promiscuity, pessimistic views and relationships from their bright and starry-eyed beginnings to their bitter-sweet endings. The first song off the EP is "Sheep", a look into the mind of an average sleep deprived college student, burning the midnight oil and killing time in hopes sleep with overtake them. "Pistol", is an upbeat powerful song depicting a story of unrequited love. Third on the list is "All In My Head", a heavier, faster song which is reminiscent of old school punk and ska. The fourth track, "The Question We Ask and the Answer We Never Want To Hear", takes heavy influence from early 2000's pop-punk with its catchy melodies while telling the story of a young couple going through troubling times. "Love and Lust", the one of the heaviest song on the EP, it uses the fundamentals of progressive rock and jazz to create a unique sound. This song depicts the classic 'Tinder-ella' story where both parties are no longer sure if what they are feeling is true wholesome love or their carnal and primitive human instincts. "How Many Parsecs Until Home?", takes places a long time ago in a galaxy far far away. It's upbeat feel helps disguise the lyrical content depicting one's struggle of long distance relationships and its inevitable end while traveling to find their true home. The final track on the EP, "Do You Think They Sell Benadryl at the Bar?" is an eccentric take on the generic destine of the modern bar/club scene and the coping the mechanisms that follow when being forced to be there. We hope you genuinely enjoy the product we have produced for you.
